Twilight bag drop -

four airlines to operate service throughout winter months

We don't have conductors on these buses, but they are electric - move to electric fleet begins

In this section:

We might not have conductors on these buses, but they are electric.

Two new airside electric coaches have been introduced at the airport - so you could say the wheels on the bus have gone green (we do say this, actually...).

Passengers can look out for these vehicles doing trips around the airfield. You'll notice they have branding for Greater Good - the airport's sustainability strategy - on them.

This comes at the start of a wider transition to a fully-electric fleet of airside coaches, with further developments planned in the coming months as we work to reduce our impact on the environment.

This positive development comes after 40 electric vehicle chargers were unveiled across the airport campus for drivers to use. These are located in Terminal Parking, FastPark and Plane Parking, enhancing the provision for sustainable transport to and from the airport.

These chargers were installed as part of Edinburgh Airport's Low Carbon Energy Project which will also see a solar farm installed on the airfield, in turn helping work towards the airport's commitment to achieving net zero emissions.
