Whether it’s the moment you catch a glimpse of our famous tower from Glasgow Road, or the sight of planes taking off and landing as you approach the terminal, driving to the airport is always an exciting time.
We’ve got several different car parks passengers can book into for the duration of their trip, and they’re all conveniently positioned to allow easy access to the terminal, check-in and security.
But where exactly are they located, and what’s the quickest way to get to each of them?
We’ve mapped them out in our handy guide below.
FastPark reopened at the start of May 2022, and is located on the site previously used for ExpressTest Covid-19 testing – right next to the airport terminal.
This self-service valet car park is one of our most convenient for passengers.
Basically if you’re coming in from the direction of Glasgow Road on Eastfield Road you simply go straight on at the roundabout next to the Moxy and DoubleTree by Hilton hotels, before turning left at the roundabout next to Hampton by Hilton on to Jubilee Road.
Follow the road round past the Edinburgh Airport tower and from signs will direct you to FastPark. It’s as easy as that.
More information on FastPark can be found here.
Think back to our FastPark directions. You do exactly the same, however rather than turning left at the Hampton by Hilton roundabout you go straight ahead and follow the road past terminal parking and into the multi-storey. You’ll not miss it because, well, it’s a multi-storey.
This car park is probably the closest you can get to the airport. There’s even a bridge on the second level which runs directly to the security halls for passengers who’ve booked fastTRACK. If you’re using the bridge you’ll just need your parking confirmation, boarding pass, and have hand luggage only.

As we’ve already touched upon, it’s basically right in front of the multi-storey if you’re looking at it from the road in. Just after the roundabout at the Hampton by Hilton is where you’ll find this car park.
Favoured by many people for its convenience, its location means you’re just a short walk to the check-in desks.
Check out our terminal parking page for more information.
While FastPark, terminal parking, and the multi-storey are located next to one another, mid-stay is a bit different.
That being said, it’s still just as close to some parts of the terminal as terminal parking, but at a cheaper price.
If you’re coming down Eastfield Road you turn right at the roundabout next to the Moxy and DoubleTree by Hilton and on to Eastfield Avenue. Follow the road and take a left at the next roundabout at Gogar Bridge Road and that’ll lead you in to mid-stay.
Note – there can be a bit of a walk involved so this car park may not be suited to passengers with mobility issues.
More on the mid-stay car park here.
Located on the other side of the mid-stay car park. The directions are roughly the same, the only difference is you go right at the roundabout across the tram tracks at the end of Eastfield Avenue rather than left.
A walkway is in place at the north side of the car park, and chances are it won’t take you any longer than eight to ten minutes to walk to check-in from here.

Our Plane Parking car park will close temporarily from November 1, having been in use throughout the busy summer period.
