It's set to be a record breaking Easter weekend at the airport with more than 170,000 passengers travelling through the terminal.
Scotland's airport is geared up for a cracking start to the holidays with upwards of 89,000 passengers flying out and more than 83,000 passengers arriving in the capital across the four days from Friday, March 29 to Monday, April 1.
There's always a buzz around the airport at this time of year as many people take the opportunity to jet off for some sunshine, see a new city, reunite with family, or visit Scotland to see the very best our country has to offer.
A mix of big cities and holiday favourites feature at the top of the list when it comes to popular Easter weekend destinations.
London, Paris, Dublin, Belfast and Amsterdam are among the top choices for city getaways, while services to sunshine destinations like Tenerife and Alicante also feature high.
Sunday, March 31 also marks the start of the airport’s summer schedule and the resumption of a number of different flights, including to Washington D.C. with United and New York JFK with Delta Air Lines.
Our teams will be working to keep things moving across the weekend, but there are a few ways you can help them out by being prepared, and ensuring as smooth a trip as possible.
To give yourself plenty of time you should arrive at the airport for your airline’s check-in desk opening, and this varies from airline to airline so best checking this out before travelling.
There are also a few ways you can prepare for security and ensure you avoid any unnecessary delays.
Remember all liquids need to be under 100ml, removed from your luggage, and put in a clear bag, and all large electricals need to come out your hand luggage and go in the tray with nothing covering them.
