Christmas choirs are coming to town! Local schools invited to sing at airport during Christmas

Last updated Nov 05, 2024

What better way to spread some Christmas cheer.

You can't quite hear those jingle bells yet but the festive season is on the way, and in 2024 we're again offering school choirs the opportunity to come in and sing for passengers, providing the perfect holiday send off, or arrival, for those travelling through the airport.

Each year schools from across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Falkirk and Fife come in to belt out their favourite Christmas classics while raising funds and putting the smiles on the faces of passengers and staff.

Schools from throughout the local area can apply to come in and sing while collecting donations for their school from passengers. We have slots available on Thursday, December 12 and throughout the week beginning Monday, December 16.

Groups of up to 20 children and two adults will be allocated a two-hour slot, from 1000 to 1200, with an indoor or outdoor location set aside (weather dependent) - and schools will be able to select which they would prefer.

Schools will be able to collect donations by placing a bucket at the front of their display, however they will not be allowed to approach passengers for donations.

Only one application will be accepted per school and successful schools can only be awarded one slot.

Applications are now open and can be completed on the button below by 1700 on November 25. Successful schools will then be contacted on November 28.
