Diversions will be in place for some airport traffic during a programme of roadworks on the A8.
The City of Edinburgh Council began daytime drainage works on Monday, September 16 and overnight resurfacing works on Monday, September 30.
There are no full closures for the daytime drainage project however the eastbound stretch of the A8 will shut from the Ingliston interchange slip-road to the Gogar Roundabout during the overnight resurfacing. This will typically be between 1930 and 0630 Monday to Friday.
These closures will run for four weeks, until October 25, and works will then continue in phases, with different sections of the road impacted before the project completes mid March 2025.
Parking customers and drivers doing lifts to and from the airport during the works are urged to plan ahead and follow the diversions put in place by the local authority.
Diversions are as follows.
This diversion will be via the A8 Glasgow Road westbound, Newbridge Roundabout, the M9 southbound, M8 eastbound and City of Edinburgh Bypass northbound to Gogar Roundabout.
This diversion will be via the A8 Glasgow Road westbound and Newbridge Roundabout before taking the A89, B800, Burnshot Road, Queensferry Road and Maybury Road.
Passengers and road users are asked to plan their journey in advance and check the City of Edinburgh Council website and Edinburgh Travel News social media account for updates.
