Information for passengers ahead of The Queen's state funeral on Monday, September 19

Edinburgh Airport will remain open and operational on Monday, September 19 - the day of The Queen's state funeral - however we are inviting passengers to pay tribute to Her Majesty during the ongoing period of mourning.

On Sunday, September 18 we will take part in a National Moment of Reflection at 20:00. In the airport terminal we will participate in a one minute silence and invite passengers to join us in observing this.

This follows a moment's silence which took place in the airport upon the arrival of The Queen's funeral procession on Tuesday, September 13. We'd like to thank all passengers who took part.

While the airport remains open, some of our retail partners will be closing on the day of the funeral in order to pay their respects to The Queen and commemorate her reign. A full list of the outlets closing, or operating revised opening hours, can be found below.
