Naples

Naples

Naples streets are rushing and passionate, but keep up with this city’s fast pace you’ll find a plethora of hidden treasures.

Experience the unparalleled taste of Italian pizza in its birthplace, sip on a glass of the finest Campania wine, or marvel at the volcanic remains of nearby Pompeii – Naples is bursting with history, energy and art.

In truth, few places can rival Naples in the art stakes. The Museo Archeologico Nazionale and Sansevero Chapel Museum in particular are home to world-renowned pieces, however you'll find countless masterpieces in galleries across the city.

If you're looking to really explore the city you could do a lot worse than taking a walk along Spaccanapoli - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous streets in these parts. Here you'll find some outstanding pizza parlours and pastry shops, along with striking monuments and churches.

And just a few miles from the city, towering over Naples, is the imposing Mount Vesuvius. Take the bus there and then climb to the top of the 4000ft volcano for amazing views of the Bay of Naples and, of course, a look at 'Gran Cono' - the grand crater. The climb takes around 90-minutes but it's an experience you won't forget in a hurry.
